Flack's advanced Beat Research class at MassArt has been cooking up some new sonic concoctions that are sure to blow your brain away. This time they produced there own CD which is truly amazing.

As usual in addition to amazing original electronic music you will also get awesome videos and live performances too in this special 18plus event.

Ivanna has been bringing fresh sounds to the masses for over ten years through her eclectic radio shows on WZBC and through her rockin DJ sets that have taken her from Providence Warehouse parties to bboy/bgirl battles in Argentina (where her family is from). She started djing baile funk music back in 2002 as part of her dance duo performance, Yours Truly. A restless activist and promoter of creative endeavors she runs a traveling art show in Argentina and Chile called "Escupido de la Panza de la Bestia" a cultural exchange that will be coming to Boston this fall.

In true BR style she'll be representing all kinds of styles- including but not limited to:"weirder baile funk stuff, dancehall, hip hop, crunk, jungle, techno, noise, dub, old school, new wavy, punk, junk, people and computer music, serious style, fun style, summersault style and more.."

Our man Greg has been Beat Research's foreign correspondent for some time now. His studies of modern urban music have taken him from the streets of Paris to the Favela's of Rio and he always brings back fresh insite and of course fresh beats.

Lately it is the booty moving music of Brazil's Baile Funk scene that has captured most of his attention and he has been in Rio helping to put together two new amazing (and fully credited) compilations for the Flamin Hotz label. One on colored vinyl with amazing cover art and the other a double CD with two booklets and also amazing cover art.

Having completed his studies he will be leaving our fair city so come wish him obrigado and bon voyage
